Will it Ever be Possible to Achieve World Peace?
Is world peace really possible?
This is one the most debated questions and everyone has their own opinion about achieving world peace. According to Debate.org, statistic shows that 57% of people who responded believe that world peace is not possible while the rest, 43% believe that it is something achievable.
Can we really live in peace where every country in the world co-exists with each other? When it comes to world peace, you must understand that war, brutality, killings, or violence happen because of people. The countries did not go to war, but the leaders who have the power to command the army did. It is the people who are living in this world that make or break the world.
If you see the percentage of people voting that, you can clearly understand that almost 50% of people aren't believe that peace is possible where another 50% believe that its must be possible one day. OK, lets talk why 50% are in with different opinion.
For the people who didn't believe that peace is possible,
According to them,
Peace is not possible for war.The most valuable thing in the present world is money. As long as people can't liberate themselves from the greed of money, peace will not come on earth. Lets make it clear with some example...
Since the beginning of the creation of the world, there was a greed for money and power that led to hundreds of war and revolutions in the world.
If any country goes up others are thinking why she is better then me? Then start planing how could make them down. There was a story between china and Britain about this..
"In the middle of 80s, British came to china for business purpose or something else. That time China is enough developed by there own technologies and there own invention. So they don't need to buy anything from the British. But when British came here they give them to drink tea before that British didn't drink tea or they don't know the test of it.After drinking this it was loved by the British. So, they decided to take this in there country and they want to introduce it t6o there people but British didn't know how to cultivate it. That's why they start buying it from Chinese Gov. That time China accept only Gold or Silver coin from British. So when tea reached in Britain people started to love this as they are normal drink. And its became one of the famous drink for the English people. That's the reason British have to pay thousand of pounds to China for buying this. After some years British Gov. started thinking about the matter that every year they are taking money from us but we can't take from them. So its a great lose for us, we have to do something about this. After thinking about the matter British take decision they will export Opium to China because its a drugs which will easily attracted the people of China.History says that British export 4000 tons of Opium in one year in china which is the ten years world wide Opium productions at present. And British are taking hundreds times more money then they have to pay for tea. That the reason of Opium war."
You might be think that its a old history whats the relation of this with the modern world. OK, lets discuss the same story in present world. About England and Saudi Arabia ....
"As we all know that middle east countries are the world largest oil supplier. Especially Saudi Arabia supply almost half of the crude oil in the world. So, most of the Europe and Americans Countries are directly or indirectly dependent to this countries. Every year Saudi Arabia take billion of dollars for oil and its they are only earning source. As Europe and America spend lots of money for oil and Saudi Arabia just taking and they don't have any lost for this. And they don't need to pay for anything that's why Europe and America are in tension. They start to produce arms and military equipment to Saudi Arabia and make them as a war lover nation. Maybe I can't describe it clearly if you see the Forbes report of 2018 you will found that in 2018 Saudi Arabia got 900 million pound for crude oil from Britain and they pay 857 million for military equipment. This is just a report of 2018. Now, think what are the used of this weapons. I think you got the ans by watching news daily if you are not getting it just see the Yemen war. So, how could peace possible where everyone is in a race of earning money"
If you see the world history there is no decades where war isn't present...
Let's see some inhuman war in the history of the world they are lost of life..
Arab-Israeli conflict, including the Palestinian conflict:
Israelis and Arabs have been at war for more than 50 years, over disputed territory which both Palestinians and Israelis claim as their own. The conflict has drawn almost the entire Middle East into battle, generating four full-scale wars which have cost the lives of tens of thousands. Peace talks continue amidst religious and ideological differences.
Afghanistan:
The 20-year war in Afghanistan can be divided into four distinct stages: the 1979 invasion by the Soviet Union and the decade of war that followed; internal armed conflict between the mujahideen and the communist government from 1989 to April 1992; two years of civil war between Afghan factions; and ongoing fighting between the Taliban and the Northern Coalition since 1994. All told, these conflicts have killed an estimated 1.7 million people, permanently disabled another 2 million and driven more than 5 million Afghans from their homes.
Bosnia-Herzegovina:
The war in Bosnia-Herzegovina was a struggle among the three main communities of the country – Bosniac, Serb and Croat – for territorial control, following the break-up of the Yugoslav federation. From 1991 to 1995, the war claimed some 200,000 lives and uprooted half the population of 4 million. Fear of instability in the Balkans prompted the Western powers to intervene, resulting in a tenuous peace.
Cambodia:
Thirty years of violence and periods of armed conflict have cost an estimated 1.25 million Cambodian lives. Following a civil war from 1970 to 1975, the Khmer Rouge seized power and carried out a massive displacement, during which city-dwellers were systematically forced into the countryside where many starved or were killed. Invasion by Vietnam in 1979 pushed the Khmer Rouge out into rural strongholds, where they waged a bitter war of resistance. The Vietnamese withdrew in 1989 and UN-assisted elections were held in 1993.
Colombia:
Colombians have lived through more than 50 years of uninterrupted conflict. Today’s conflict is mainly rooted in the years 1946-1957 when competition for power between the Conservative and Liberal factions ignited a civil war, claiming more than 200,000 lives. In the last two decades a succession of governments has entered into peace negotiations with its opponents – and sometimes achieved cease-fires – but periods of calm have been the exception, rather than the rule.
El Salvador:
Throughout the 1980s, El Salvador’s civil war raged, prolonged by the country’s position as one of many used as a proxy for superpower influence during the Cold War. The conflict between the country’s military and the Communist-inspired anti-government forces left more than 75,000 dead and v uprooted hundreds of thousands. A peace treaty was signed in 1992, but the country remains impoverished and deeply divided.
Lebanon:
The war in Lebanon, which has lasted more than two decades, has centered on a combination of internal and international conflicts. These conflicts have left some 150,000 people dead, uprooted more than 800,000 people and destroyed a once-thriving country. Although a cease-fire between the contending parties was signed in 1991, Israeli troops remain in southern Lebanon.
Nigeria:
From 1967 to 1970, a civil war was fought in the south-east of present day Nigeria, in the breakaway region of Biafra. The Nigerian government wrested the region back under federal control during a struggle in which an estimated 3 million people died. In recent decades, political and economic stability has depended heavily on the price of oil. Hope of a less turbulent future came in May 1999 when its first freely elected President in over 15 years was inaugurated.
Philippines:
For more than 20 years, the Philippines has been the site of localized armed conflicts. In the southern island of Mindanao, Muslim groups have battled to establish an independent Islamic government in a conflict estimated to have left a minimum of 50,000 dead. In other parts of the country, a 20-year conflict between the communist guerrillas of the New People’s Army (NPA) and government security forces has claimed at least 40,000 lives. Following the restoration of democracy in 1986, local violence declined, and land reforms brought greater prosperity to Filipinos. Peace talks between the government and both sets of insurgents are ongoing at this time.
Somalia:
Somalia’s past decade of war has been rooted in traditional rivalries among Somali clans that have torn the country apart. These conflicts are estimated to have killed more than 50,000 of Somalia’s 10 million people and have left the country lacking government institutions or infrastructure. Conditions were worsened by a devastating famine in 1992, which claimed 500,000 lives. Although a measure of stability has been established in the country’s north, armed conflicts among clan militias continue to dominate more than half of the country’s territory.
There are lots of war happens in this world this is happened in 1900-present.
So, the people who believe that peace is not possible in there are opinion they are right because after facing this kind of activity anyone can told that world peace is not possible peace.
Now you may asked that if the world leaders want than it can be possible.
For this you should know the causes of war:
When it comes to achieving world peace, you must understand that it is the people, especially the leaders of the nation that determine the war. Leaders are human beings with emotions. They exhibit the same failings and weaknesses as the rest of the people in the world. They can get angry, let their egos drive them, and send troops to war. Therefore, the real causes of war lie in the unchecked rampaging of human behaviors. And if world peace is to be attained, everyone who is living in this world must educate themselves and raise their intellect by keeping a peaceful ethics in them, especially the leaders.
Now forget What I say Let's see what Famous people told:
"If man does find the solution for world peace it will be the most revolutionary reversal of his record we have ever known." George C. Marshall
" The World Trade Center is a living symbol of man's dedication to world peace... a representation of man's belief in humanity, his need for individual dignity, his beliefs in the cooperation of men, and, through cooperation, his ability to find greatness." Minoru Yamasaki
